Kilgor Hike

When we were in Idaho in May we took a little family excursion to Kilgore. We had great ambitions for a nice, long hike, Brent even borrowed a hiking backpack for the trip. But, alas, between the mosquitos and Laura's two year old walking style we didn't get too far. Our trip consisted of an hour and a half of driving, thirty minutes of eating lunch in the car to get away from the mosquitos, and half an hour of trying to get Laura to keep walking. But we saw some beautiful scenery, got out into the fresh air, spent time as a family, and gathered some wildflowers for Grandpa Russ's headstone.

Sounds like a nice afternoon. I'm slowly figuring out that with young ones, the name of the game is enjoying the moment. Things usually don't go as planned, so be flexible & go with the flow.
